ONE DAY MATCHES
One Day International Rules and
Domestic Limited Over Matches
  1. Limited over team runs bets – In the event of a tie or an abandoned match where there is no official result, all bets will be void regardless of the fact that the first innings of the match may have been already completed. Therefore any bet placed on the first innings team runs will not be fully settled until an official result is declared at the conclusion of the match (NB current ICC playing conditions stipulate that a minimum of 20 overs per side is required to constitute a match).
  2. If the number of overs is reduced due to an interruption then all bets on that innings will be void. We may or may not then offer a new market on the runs under the revised number of overs. In the event of a tie or an abandoned match where there is no official result, all bets will be void.
  3. Pre match runs bets only stand on the team batting first. All bets on the team batting second are void. In the event of a tie or an abandoned match where there is no official result, all bets will be void.
  4. Any pre match bets placed on the ‘Middle’ betting will only apply to the team batting first. All bets on the team batting second are void. In the event of a tie or an abandoned match where there is no official result, all bets will be void.
  5. First 15 overs runs bets (or any other incremental overs markets eg 1st 30 overs) – In the event of a tie or an abandoned match where there is no official result, all bets will be void regardless of the fact that the first 15 overs of the innings may have been already completed. Therefore any bet placed on the first 15 overs runs will not be fully settled until an official result is declared at the conclusion of the match. If a side happens to win the match within the first 15 overs then their score will be counted as such. If there is an interruption within the first 15 overs as long as the first 15 overs are completed following the interruption then all bets continue to stand.
  6. Runs/wicket markets in a specified number of overs: For example, 1st 15 overs. The full number of specified overs must be played for bets to stand, unless the innings has reached its natural conclusion or further play cannot affect the result. Any change in fielding restrictions due to a reduction in scheduled innings overs will not affect the settlement of this market.
TWENTY 20 MATCHES
Twenty 20 Rules
  1. 20 over team runs bets – In the event of a tie or an abandoned match where there is no official result, all bets will be void regardless of the fact that the first innings of the match may have been already completed. Therefore any bet placed on the first innings team runs will not be fully settled until an official result is declared at the conclusion of the match (NB current ICC playing conditions stipulate that a minimum of 5 overs per side is required to constitute a match).
  2. If the number of overs is reduced from 20 due to an interruption then all bets on that innings will be void. We may or may not then offer a new market on the runs under the revised number of overs. In the event of a tie or an abandoned match where there is no official result, all bets will be void.
  3. Pre match runs bets, including any bets on the pre match 'Middle', only stand on the team batting first. All bets on the team batting second are void. In the event of a tie or an abandoned match where there is no official result, all bets will be void.
  4. First 10 overs runs bets (or any other incremental overs markets) – In the event of a tie or an abandoned match where there is no official result, all bets will be void regardless of the fact that the first 10 overs of the innings may have been already completed. Therefore any bet placed on the first 10 overs runs will not be fully settled until an official result is declared at the conclusion of the match. If a side happens to win the match within the first 10 overs then their score will be counted as such. If there is an interruption within the first 10 overs as long as the first 10 overs are completed following the interruption then all bets continue to stand.
  5. Outright/Match bets - In the event of a tie or an abandoned match where there is no official result, all bets will be void. If the match is shortened, bets will be settled where there is an official result as determined by the relevant governing body under the competition rules. ‘bowl offs’ to determine the result of an individual match will not count, eg. Tie or abandoned rules will apply.
TEST MATCHES
Test Match Rules
  1. All bets on the match will be void if the match is abandoned without a ball being bowled.
  2. Innings runs bets, including any bets on the pre match 'Middle', will be settled at the completion of each innings once a team is bowled out, declared or the match has been completed
  3. All bets relating to an innings will be void if fewer than 50 overs are completed due to external factors e.g. bad weather. If the natural length of the innings is less than 50 overs then bets will stand.
  4. First 20 overs, or any incremental overs markets eg 40 overs - Bets will be settled at the completion of each bracket of overs. Should a team be dismissed or declare prior to the end of the increment of overs then the remaining amount of full overs left in the increment will carry forward to the next innings. Nb it is unlikely this product will be quoted where it is likely that the innings may end during the increment of overs.
OTHER MARKETS
Other Market Rules
  1. Batsman’s individual runs bets – In all forms of the game, Batsman’s runs bets will be settled immediately the batsman is dismissed, should an innings be shortened due to bad weather or a declaration, or if a player retires hurt, his score at the end of the innings shall determine settlement of bets. The player must reach the crease for bets to stand.
  2. Player Performances - If a player’s performance is brought to an end by weather or bad light, including the abandonment of a game all bets where a result has not been determined will be void. A result is deemed to have been determined if a player’s performance has passed the total at which a bet was struck, his particiapation in the match has finished, or an innings is declared. For example, if a player’s performance score stands at 16 when a match is terminated due to bad light or rain, all bets under and over 16.5 runs will be void. However, all bets on over 15.5 runs are winners and all bets on under 15.5 runs are losers.
  3. Fall of Next Wicket - The total innings runs scored by a team before the fall of the named wicket determines the result of the market. If either batsman retires hurt or ill then the bet is settled on the total at the fall of the next wicket. If a team declares or reaches their target then the total amassed will be the result of the market. If a match is abandoned without an official result and no wicket has fallen in the relevant innings then bets will be void other than those that are already settled by virtue of the partnership reaching the amount at which the bet was struck.
  4. Next Man Out/Mode of dismissal – All bets will be void if, following a bet being struck, there is no further wicket or if either batsman retires hurt.
  5. Highest Opening Partnership – The opening partnership is the fall of the first wicket, Bets will stand as long as both partnerships are completed or a result has been determined.
  6. Hi Bat – Will be determined by the player which scores the most runs in the particular innings, in the event of a tie, a dead heat rule will apply and bets will be paid at half face value of the ticket. Where a player listed in a pre match Hi bat market does not make the starting eleven, all bets on that player will be voided.
  7. Series Winner – In the event of a tied series, both teams will be declared joint winners and the revised dividend will equal half the face value of the ticket.
  8. Top Series Runscorer/Wicket taker – If a player is quoted and neither bats or bowls, all bets on this player will be void.
  9. Time Penalty runs are not included for the purposes of innings runs in One Day Internationals.
  10. Long term tournament bets – where a tournament results in a dead heat both teams or players will be declared joint winners and the revised dividend will equal half the face value of the ticket unless otherwise specified on the particular market.
  11. Match Bets – If a match is abandoned with no official result bets will only stand if all players involved have completed there relevant part in the match eg if two batsmen have both completed their innings before a match is abandoned then a batting match bet between the two players would stand.
  12. Long term Markets – From time to time we will stipulate a minimum number of games a player must play for bets to stand. If a game is started but not completed, as long as a player is named in the starting eleven, this will count as a game played for the purposes of long term markets.
  13. Series Betting - If one of the players in a Group does not take part in the tournament, then any bets placed on that specific player will be void. If you have placed a winning bet on other players in that Group, we may apply the equivalent to a Tattersalls' rule 4 to your winnings, based on the price of the player withdrawn.
